Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine is an enigmatic musician, singer and actor. He combines soul gospel jazz and R&B in a distinct blend. Avery Sunshine has appeared on Broadway and in festivals throughout Europe as well as the Democratic National Convention. Sunshine Her real name is Denise White. Although she lives in Atlanta she was born in Chester Pennsylvania. Her musical path began at church, where she sang and was a pianist. After attending Spellman College, Atlanta she started her journey in music on Atlanta's R&B culture. The Fighting Temptations The single that featured her vocals, Stalk You the House, was released only in Japan. The song has been remixed several times, and has become a staple in her live performance. Her voice has also been a part of singing for The Fighting Temptations' soundtrack. in 2005 Tyler Perry hired her as his primary keyboardist for his stage show Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday (a Grammy and Tony Award winner) offered her the position of choral conductor of Dreamgirls in Atlanta in the National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine gained national recognition for several performances throughout the Democratic National Convention in 2008. Sunshine was chosen to perform at Obama's inaugural ceremony in 2009.
