Aaliyah Daniel Haughton exploded into fame in 1994 when she released the release of her first album Age Ain't Anything But a Numer. The album came out as Gold when she was fifteen years old. The group was highly inspired by R. Kelly, and made her a star in the spotlight. In 1996 Jermaine Durpri along with Timbaland worked together to create the second album of hers, One In A Million. The album included If Your Boyfriend Only knew as the lead single one. Aaliyah gained international fame for her R&B songs on this album. In 2000, she appeared in the romance and action film Romeo Must Die alongside martial artist Jet-Li. Joel Silver, a film producer who was at an award ceremony when she got the role and spotted her. The year 2002 was the time she was part of the Anne Rice-based horror film Queen of the Damned. She then got into the Matrix by playing Zee on The Matrix Sequels having also been on The Matrix Reloaded in 2003 and The Matrix Revolutions in the same year. She has been awarded four Grammy nominations for the year 1999, 2001 and 2002 and 2003. Aarti Mann is an Indian American of the first generation born in Connecticut. Mann is the abbreviation for her husband's first name Mankad. However, she uses both Aarti Mann as well as Aarti Majumdar for her professional name. Though she initially had tiny film and television performances, her acting began growing in popularity around the mid 2000s. She has also appeared in Leverage, Suits, Grey's Anatomy and Grey's Anatomy. Her commercials have featured big brands, like Volvo. She currently lives at Los Angeles along with her spouse, daughter, and husband. She is also pursuing her acting career.
