Jenna-Louise Coleman has been a British actor for several years. She is best known for her role as Clara Oswald, the character she portrayed in Doctor Who. In her early years she was part of Yer Space a theater company which performed Crystal Clear during the Edinburgh Festival. Coleman was awarded an award for the performance. The production was highly liked by the audience. Coleman's debut break came in 2005 when she joined the cast of Jasmine Thomas on the Emmerdale soap-opera. The appearances she made on the soapy show continued through 2009. The show was awarded her a nomination in the 2006 National Television Awards for Most Popular Newcomer for her portrayal in the role of Jasmine Thomas. Coleman first made film debut in 2011 when she played Connie on the film Captain America: The First Avenger. The most memorable chance to demonstrate her range came when she accepted the offer to play the former British monarch Queen Victoria in ITV's Victoria. Coleman is a great actor, and has demonstrated her aplomb by starring as Lindsay James (a British schoolgirl) in the BBC Drama Waterloo Road and now an empress Victoria.
